John Glenn Visits JPL

In November 1962, astronaut John Glenn visited JPL, several months after his orbital flight in the "Friendship 7" Mercury spacecraft. At the same time, members of the National Science Foundation were on Lab. Dr. Pickering posed with guests while they were given a tour of the 25 Foot Space Simulator. From left to right are Dr. Pickering, John Glenn, Caltech President Dr. Lee Dubridge, and NASA Flight Operations Director Walt Williams.
