HOW TO SUBMIT A PURCHASE REQUEST :

  • Log into BEACON Express
  • Select New Request Purchase
  • Fill in all fields marked with an asterisk
  • Change Need By date if necessary
  • Need it quicker? Change the Rush? field from Regular to Yes. Additional charges WILL apply
  • Select a valid Project/Task number. If you need to add or delete an account, select Change Accounts under Tools in the Beacon Express navigation menu. Note: Changes to accounts will only be visible on new requests.

Q: How long does it take to get a book ordered through the Library?
A: Between 3 days and 2 weeks, depending on availability and customer requirements. Books from our local vendor are delivered within five working days. However, the Library will order from other online sources if delivery is required faster. Extra rush charges may apply.Q: What is the cost to order a book?
A: The Library charges only its cost – the publisher price less any discounts that apply with shipping and handling. Vendor discounts range from 10-27%. Shipping costs are between $0 and ~$15.Q: Where do I get updates on my request?
